Welcome to the latest Ancon newsletter. In this issue read about the award-winning KSN Anchor, how to minimise cold bridging at masonry support locations and our article in this month's Concrete magazine.

Ancon Wins 'Best Product Award'

A new anchor system that changes the way concrete slab-to-wall joints are constructed has been voted ‘Best Product in Show’ at the 2013 UK Concrete Show, Europe’s largest specialist concrete exhibition.

The Ancon KSN Anchor represents a completely new approach to reinforcement continuity. It creates high performance joints quickly and more safely than re-bend continuity boxes or coupler-based solutions which involve either rebar straightening or awkward anchorage lengths in the wall. Minimise Cold Bridging at Masonry Support Locations

Stainless steel support systems are essential to the structural integrity of high rise masonry-clad buildings. Ancon systems can now be supplied with Thermal Breaks to minimise heat loss through cold bridging and help improve the energy efficiency of the building envelope.

Ancon Thermal Breaks are manufactured from a durable fibre-reinforced thermoset plastic which combines high compressive strength with a thermal conductivity of just 0.3W/mK.

Shaped like a standard Ancon key-hole shim, they are designed to locate quickly and easily between the brackets and the structural frame, as a support system is installed.

Our technical services team is on hand to advise on the most appropriate brick support system. Contact us today and let us support you on your next project.

Sharing our Technical Knowledge

Ancon's Divisional Manager, Hervé Poveda, addresses the increasing demands on the connections between structural concrete elements in this month's Concrete magazine. Read the full article here.

New connection methods, such as the KSN Anchor system, guarantee that the lap lengths required by the latest structural design Standards can be met, as well as offering faster, safer installation.
