Welcome to the latest Ancon newsletter. In this issue, we preview a new range of wall ties and shear dowels designed to improve the sound resilience of a building.  

Ancon to launch Acoustic Range at Ecobuild, Stand N3090

Ancon will introduce its new Acoustic range of cavity wall ties and shear load dowels at the UK’s leading sustainable construction event, Ecobuild 2015.

These new acoustic wall ties and frame cramps are used to connect the leaves of a cavity wall while minimising the transfer of airborne noise and vibration. Typical applications include recording studios and cinemas, however they are equally suitable for any new build residential development.

Also on show at Ecobuild will be Ancon’s full range of low thermal conductivity, corrosion-resistant building products including basalt fibre wall ties, stainless steel brick support systems with thermal shims and insulated balcony connectors.

Ancon to reveal new Acoustic Dowel at Concrete Show, Stand D31 

Ancon will launch its latest product at Europe’s largest specialist concrete show on 25-26 February.

Designed to replace rigid floor connections, the new Acoustic Staisil-HLD shear dowel decouples concrete building elements and dampens impact noise in multi-storey developments. Typical applications are stair landings in multi-occupancy buildings, like hotels and apartments.

Bartec Plus, our latest parallel threaded reinforcing bar coupler system will also feature on the stand. Awarded UK CARES Technical Approval TA1-A, Bartec Plus is suitable for fatigue applications, including major road and rail infrastructure projects.

Winner of "Best Product in Show" at the Concrete Show in 2013, the Ancon KSN Anchor rebar continuity system is now even easier to design. New software enables engineers to quickly and confidently analyse the KSN anchor options available and create a unique project specification to the latest design codes.

New software from Ancon simplifies the design of its award-winning KSN Anchor rebar continuity system in wall to slab construction joints, providing safer, faster concrete connections on site.
