Welcome to the latest Ancon newsletter. We're extending two established product ranges with the launch of the Teplo-BF low thermal conductivity wall tie and new sizes of our STC steel-to-concrete insulated balcony connector. By the way, every link in this email goes to our new website...

Introducing the New Bond.

Acting on market intelligence, we've launched a new super-Bond, ultra-low conductivity wall tie that even SPECTRE would find hard to crack!

Based on our multi-award winning TeploTie with a conductivity of 00.7W/mK which virtually eliminates heat loss through thermal bridging in cavity walls, the new Teplo-BF basalt fibre wall tie features specially moulded safety ends that improve buildability and enhance mortar bond strength by up to 80%.

The new user-friendly design has exceptional mortar grip, making Teplo-BF suitable for use with lime and other slow-drying mortars.

Enhanced STC Range Accommodates Higher Loads

Two sizes have been added to the Ancon STC Steel-to-Concrete insulated balcony connector range to provide a higher resistance to both moment and shear forces. Typical applications include large cantilever balconies and situations where column layout or rebar congestion limits the number of connectors to be installed.

The STC range minimises heat loss while maintaining structural integrity at the interface between a steel balcony and a concrete frame. These connectors are proven through thermal modelling to help prevent condensation and mould growth. They are supplied with galvanised steel brackets as standard but are available in stainless steel for maximum thermal efficiency and corrosion resistance (referenced SSTC).

NEW Installation Animation

A new online animation demonstrates just how simple it is to create brick soffits with Nexus, a collaboration between Ancon and cut brick specialist Ibstock Kevington.

The video shows the speed and simplicity of the installation, taking the viewer step-by-step through the process from the initial fixing of Ancon MDC Nexus support system, through bolting on of the lightweight Nexus brick faced soffit and how it can be adjusted and levelled in all three planes, to the final pointing of the brickwork.
