Lockable Dowel wins 2017 MIP Innovation Award
The Lockable Dowel has won a 2017 Most Innovative Product award in the USA.
It has been named Editor’s Choice in the ‘Materials for Concrete Construction’ category.
The Most Innovative Products (MIP) awards are presented annually. They are a collaboration between media partner Hanley Wood and the World of Concrete exhibition, and they showcase many new products exhibited at this world-famous show.
The MIP awards provide exhibition attendees, together with the readers and editorial teams of local technical trade magazines Concrete Construction, Masonry Construction and The Concrete Producer, with an opportunity to vote for the products they think are the most innovative.
The Lockable Dowel was developed by Ancon, initially for use in the UK and Australia, and is now recognised worldwide as a method of accelerating construction and improving site safety in post-tensioned concrete frames.
It is distributed in the USA as the Burke Lockable Dowel by Ancon’s sister company, MeadowBurke, who claimed this prestigious award.
