Less than a month after receiving the 2012 Queen’s Award for Innovation from the Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Ancon has been announced winner of yet another innovation award.
Ancon’s latest success comes in the 2012 Build It Awards, where the TeploTie low thermal conductivity basalt fibre wall tie was voted ‘Best Innovation in Insulation’.
The TeploTie is the most thermally efficient wall tie on the market, and has already been used in a number of prestigious low-energy projects. It is manufactured from an innovative composite material with a thermal conductivity so low it can be excluded from EN ISO 6946 U-value calculations. This enables target U-values to be achieved using thinner, more efficient wall constructions.
