New Product: Thermally Efficient Wire Wall Tie
Ancon has become the first UK wall tie manufacturer to offer a Type 2 stainless steel wire tie for insulated cavities 126-150mm wide. The new ‘Staifix RT2 275mm’ wall tie has been designed to meet the growing demand for wider insulated wall cavities in multi-storey housing and commercial buildings, as thermal performance requirements continue to increase. It offers thermal and cost benefits over Type 1 flat ties and Type 3 double-triangle style ties of the same length. Ancon Gains Another Innovation Award
Less than a month after receiving the 2012 Queen’s Award for Innovation from the Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Ancon has been announced winner of yet another innovation award. Ancon’s latest success comes in the 2012 Build It Awards, where the TeploTie low thermal conductivity basalt fibre wall tie was voted ‘Best Innovation in Insulation’. The TeploTie is the most thermally efficient wall tie on the market, and has already been used in a number of prestigious low-energy projects. It is manufactured from an innovative composite material with a thermal conductivity so low it can be excluded from EN ISO 6946 U-value calculations.
