New Helical Wall Tie for Timber-Framed Buildings

Ancon is pleased to announce the launch of a new helical wall tie for use in timber frame construction.

The TIM6 is a Type 6 wall tie suitable for fixing masonry cladding to timber frames up to four storeys in height. It is manufactured in four standard lengths to suit cavities from 50mm to 150mm. This tie is ideal for use where insulation is being incorporated within the cavity, as it accepts the Ancon universal insulation retaining clip.

Ancon Supplies England's Stunning Rugby World Cup Venue

Over 400 Ancon Tension Bars have been installed on the Forsyth Barr stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand, where England will play their first three matches in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

The steel tension bars are installed in the roof and in the South and West stands of this brand new stadium, to brace the impressive overhead structural steelwork.

The Ancon system includes bars with a special, high strength, rolled thread which was designed and tested to meet the specific dynamic conditions in the stadium roof, caused by wind loads.
