Stone Fixings
Ancon fixings have been used to restrain the stone cladding of a Buddhist Temple located in the Catskill Mountains, New York State.
The 13,000ft2 temple is based on a traditional design and has three levels of ornate stonework. Features include carvings, arches and pillars and are produced in stones varying in size and thickness.
Restraints for stonework are easily specified with dowels or lips and wire ties are available for the fixing of thin marble.
The Kadampa Buddhist Temple is the second of its type in the western world; the first (pictured) is situated in the grounds of Conishead Priory, Cumbria UK.
