Stone Restraints - Buddhist Temple, New York, USA

Stone Fixings
Ancon fixings have been used to restrain the stone cladding of a Buddhist Temple located in the Catskill Mountains, New York State.
The 13,000ft2 temple is based on a traditional design and has three levels of ornate stonework. Features include carvings, arches and pillars and are produced in stones varying in size and thickness.
Restraints for stonework are easily specified with dowels or lips and wire ties are available for the fixing of thin marble.
The Kadampa Buddhist Temple is the second of its type in the western world; the first (pictured) is situated in the grounds of Conishead Priory, Cumbria UK.

From January 1st 2021, the UK will recognise both the EU CE marking approvals, for a time limited period, and the new UK based approval system, which will be known as the UKCA mark. The EU will only recognise CE marking by EU notified bodies as proof of efficacy moving forwards. Leviat has been working closely with both EU notified and UK approved bodies to ensure compliance is achieved at the earliest possible opportunity and we can confirm that we have obtained all relevant certification.
