New KSN Anchor Installation Animation
Ancon’s latest animated video evaluates the limitations of traditional re-bend continuity systems, highlighting the dangers associated with them, and presents a safer, easier, quicker solution - the KSN Anchor System.
The new animation takes the viewer through the installation procedure for KSN Anchors, step-by-step, clearly demonstrating how they can simplify core to slab connections in multi-storey concrete frames.
The KSN system comprises internally-threaded anchors which are cast into the wall and, during construction of the adjoining slab, accept continuation bars prepared with a Bartec Plus parallel-thread. This is a faster and, above all, safer system than traditional re-bend continuity systems.
There is no on site bar straightening and virtually no restriction on bar length, so EC2 lap lengths are easily accommodated. A standard timber carrier allows multiple anchors to be installed simultaneously. Unlike re-bend systems where bar length, spacing and diameter are restricted by physical box dimensions, KSN Anchors provide total design flexibility.
The KSN system, comprising both the anchor and continuation bar, carries UK CARES Technical Approval TA1-B, providing those who specify and install it to do so with the upmost confidence. KSN Anchors were subject to a comprehensive test programme, which included evaluating the performance of construction joints under loading and a full audit of Ancon's production facilities.
